HOW TO MAKE WALKING INTERESTING

Walking is the best cardio one can do but not everyone will enjoy walking. They feel bored and don't feel motivated to walk.

So here are few tips for everyone who wants to walk but  don't feel motivated.

The most common and easy exercise that everyone suggests us to include in our daily routine exercise is walking. Walking is the best cardio one can do and recommended to everyone.

When we try to start exercising , we start with walking. Ten thousand steps are mostly recommended for every average adult.

And at the same time because of our busy work schedule we don't walk as much as we should . we neglect our health both mentally and physically.

Every other woman that may be homemaker or a working woman definitely ignores their health and puts their family in the first place. They does all their household chores from morning to night and gets tired. They can't give themselves an hour or two for their health.

Doing household chores is also an exercise but dedicating some time for yourselves and your health is different . You might get tired with household chores but  selftime  gives you positive energy and never drains you out.

One thing everyone should do for themselves is to dedicate atleast fifteen to thirty minutes a day for walking that may be early in the morning or night. This habit will definitely give you  boost not just physically but also mentally.

Find a place

Find a park near your residence and the perfect time for you to take a walk . If there are no parks near your residence you can try to include walking in your daily routine by walking to your grocery store ,market , friends home instead of driving if they are at walkable distance . This will allow you to reach your daily goals of walking. You can also walk on your terrace, balcony or garden if they big enough to do so. Or you can also take a walk on footpaths if you feel comfortable to do. Try all of them and find which suits you better. Or you can also change or alternate the places to make things more interesting . you can explore different places.

Choose the time to have a walk

There is a famous quote

After a meal walk a mile

But in the current scenario no one can do it with that ease so the best to walk is early in the mornings but if you not comfortable with it you can also do it in the evening or in the night after dinner or simply you can divide your time for the morning and evening. Choose which suits you better.

Set a goal

Set a goal that may be in steps or kilometres. Try to reach that goal everyday. Start with 1-2 km a day  or 10-15 mins a day or 6000-7000 steps like that and increase it gradually as feel comfortable doing it. Don't do it with burden or as a goal to achieve it but do it with interest and enjoy it   when you are doing it.

Involve yourself mentally and physically

I personally love walking in the nature without any distractions for atleast half an hour a day. Before I used to walk in the morning prior to exercise but now I do it in the evening. This is the time where i concentrate on myself and my body and I don't bother about anything else. I don't use my phone or talk to anyone. I just concentrate on walking and enjoy my surroundings. This makes me feel lighter and gives me some positive energy and also helps me in practicing mindfulness. Walking not only gives me physical exercise but also gives me peace mentally.

Every day I look forward to have a walk in nature and I some how find some time to walk in the nature. Walking in the nature gives me tranquility and makes me forget everything that bothers me and really makes me enjoy the place where I'm in.

I observe everything around me like sky ,clouds , trees, birds, people , animals , insects everything which i cross my paths with. When  I see all these , i appreciate them for how unique and beautiful they are and how they are so helpful for mankind and making humans life easier in one or the other way. I thank nature for everything it is giving me and making my life easier.

I appreciate everything with all my senses. Feel them and enjoy them to the fullest with all my senses. This makes me feel refreshing , abundunt and lucky for what i have.

Find a company

If you are unable to do it alone find a companion with whom you can enjoy a walk. your partner, friends or your pets. pets give you extra energy with thier naughty nature and makes you feel lively. Infact when you walk with your partner, I feel it's romantic rather than taking a ride or a drive. You will also have a cheerful vibe when you do it with your friends. I personally love walking and i enjoy it with good company that may be my partner or my friends. Walking with someone you love will allow you to give time for eachother and make you feel appreciated for eachothers presence.

By doing this you are not just involving physically you are also involving mentally precisely emotionally, which helps you to think positively and make you feel at peace. This will also helps practice mindfulness. This way you will enjoy walking and gets you involved both physically and mentally.

Hope atleast one of these tips are helpful for you to start your walking journey.
